Who is your famous person?
Why did you choose him/her
How did your person make an impact in their field?
Find at least two sources of information about (a) Biography of the person you
chose (time in history, date, place of birth, historical relevance, family life,
education, interests)
(b)Rise to fame (by hard work, practicing, a lucky break, recognition, an award,
winning a prize or competition, an invention or breakthrough)
Summarize your material and write not more than two pages about the
biography and rise to fame of your VIP
Creative writing
Using the facts you learned about your VIP, use one of the following ideas to
write about:
• An autobiographical diary entry
• You write a relevant letter to your VIP
• A written dialogue or interview between your VIP and another “similar”
character, or even yourself.
• Take a famous quotation made by your VIP and relate it to your own
feelings/ thoughts/ life/dream
Group oral report.
You will listen to three other pupils discuss their project one at a time and you will
write about what your learn about their projects. Include this information in the
body of your project
Conclusion/reflection. Write what you liked/disliked and learned from doing this
project
Put it all together. You may write it by hand if your printer doesn’t work!
YOUR FINAL PROJECT MUST INCLUDE:
1. Plastic folder – ENGLISH DIRECTION
2. Cover Page (name, class, title of project, name of teacher)
3. Table of Contents including page numbers
4. Introduction
5. Biography
6. Creative Writing
7. Group Presentation
8. Conclusion
9. Appendix 1 – a list of terms, expression, new words learned about the VIP
10. Appendix 2 – Bibliography
11. Appendix 3 – Copies of your original sources
12. The project must include at least one illustration or photograph of your VIP
13. The project must be neat, attractive, and free of mistakes
